Hogwarts Legacy is coming out on major game consoles and PC on Feb 10th, and I can't wait!
I wanted to show support for the game, so I thought I'd have one of our Smart Dolls cosplay as Hermione Granger ;-)
Harry Potter has special meaning to me as I was brought up in the UK and raised by foster families - one of those families treated me like how Harry was treated in the movie - and lived in a house that looked the same.
My guardians would take my clothes and consider it theirs, while their kids would constantly bully me - it was easy to pick on the boy who had no parents. I was made to feel as unwelcome as possible in their house.
I remember a particular evening when we returned to the house to discover that burglars had gotten in and ransacked the place. I was scared and started to cry. The eldest child of my foster family shouted at me:-
"What are you crying for?! This isn't even your house!"
Thinking about my upbringing would previously bring me to tears, but I now realize that those were the experiences that molded me - and without those experiences (even though they were horrid), I would not be where I am now doing what I'm doing.
So I thank the universe for unlocking a story I would not have experienced otherwise.
Speaking of stories and sidequests, I can't wait to experience Hogwarts Legacy which I'll get on Steam so I can play on the PC and Steam Deck too. Is this game going on your buy list?
I nearly forgot to mention - just like our other cosplay Smart Dolls - this Hermione cosplay is not an official product ;-)
