Happy new year folks!
In Japanese, that would be (takes-deep-breath) "Amemashite Omedetou Gozaimasu. Kotoshi Mo Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!" (あけましておめでとうございます、今年もよろしくお願いします!)
It's been a great year for us - but let's stop to rethink what "great" means.
2021 had its ups n downs - "downs" including some hospitalization and a load of poop (with undigested corn) hitting the fan.
However, each and every "down" had been an opportunity to reflect, learn and re-work whatever got poo all over it.
"Great" will always be a mixed bag of ups and downs - and more often than not, a "downer" can be a blessing in disguise. Life cannot be what it is without a balance of ups n downs.
Whatever is in store for you in 2022 - I hope it will be a mixed bag of greatness ;-)
How was 2021 for you? What were your ups n downs? I'm going to need more than the 2200 character limit on Instagram to go over our ups n downs, so I'll leave that for another day to cover ;-)
Oh, as for the illustrations - it’s the year of the Tiger in Japan which is why you may see a load of them in new year greetings. Take a look at the one by @dmyomyo sensei :-)
