Merry Xmas folks! Out n about in Ginza this Xmas eve. Xmas in Japan is not a celebrated holiday in Japan so we are back at work tomorrow. However Xmas is celebrated in another way - for businesses to make more moolah. Most of the Xmas decorations around Japan are taken down on on the evening of the 25th to be replaced by new year decorations.
How is Xmas celebrated in your neck of the woods? For its true meaning or more for consumerism?
By the way, the main road in Ginza and other main roads such as the one in Akihabara is pedestrianized on public holidays until out five pm. This is so that consumers can consume better without having to dodge cars.
