Smart Doll Cortex is the injection molded version of Smart Doll. I still need to do a load of testing before I release it so don't expect it any time soon.
Cortex is an engineering feat and the first of its kind to be achieved at this scale - the surface looks and feels like soft vinyl - its soft but much more resilient to color staining.
The most important factor is maintaining quality while being able to scale production.
Demand has surpassed our ability to supply vinyl due to the way vinyl is molded - up until now we can do 1000 vinyl smart dolls per month but now we can do hunreds of thousands of injection molded ones per month.
Folks who like BJD's already love "Delicious Ball Joints" (some people hate them as you know) but when folks see Cortex they will love the "Delicious Parting Lines" which is very minimal anyway.
We will still continue to sell the vinyl versions for those who have an allergy to parting lines but not ball joints. #smartdoll
