No Headlight L Bust for Smart Doll - all three skin tones out next week but Milk available first at Mirai Store Tokyo this weekend.
Even though we are the only manufacturer in Japan of black 60cm tall vinyl fashion dolls (and the only Japanese manufacturer that does not call white skin “normal”), I often get called racist for always making milk prototypes first.
The reason we need to do milk first is because when molds are freshly made, only milk can show any defects that the mold may have (cracks etc). Milk vinyl also helps see how much residue has been removed after the electro molding process.
Also, when face masks are made, the folks doing electroplating can only do an accurate job with a contrasting background which in our case is milk.

Anyway, when I was younger I was raised in a white, black and indian foster home so I’m probably the last person one can call racist :-) If you are not sure what I’m talking about just do a search for “Danny Choo Discovering Japan” on Google. #smartdoll #notweet
