Today I am humbly delighted to announce that Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) has chosen to partner with Smart Doll as a platform to represent their properties such as the DC heroes and heroines for the first time as large scale fashion dolls in the Japanese Anime/Manga aesthetic.

This global license will ensure that DC fans around the world will be able to enjoy our up and coming releases that start with Supergirl.

This is a major milestone for Smart Doll and even though we launched only 5 years ago, we have been able to build a strong foundation based on transparency and a focus on quality maintained by handcrafting each and every Smart Doll in Japan.

The design of Smart Doll is heavily influenced by various aspects of Japanese Culture. While the aesthetics of Smart Doll are based on Anime/Manga (Japanese cartoon and comics) culture, the core concepts behind our product design and company philosophy is based on a set of Japanese design principles known as Wabi-Sabi.

This partnership will give us the opportunity to not only share more of the DC universe with our Japanese audience - but to also share more of Japanese culture with the world through the DC brand.

We are already working in parallel on some of the DC heroines and heroes but wondering what would be your top 3 wishlist?

The rest of these photos taken at WBCP HQ in Burbank when I went with our man-at-arms Jun David ( @tofuprod ) who played a key role in bringing Warner Bros. and Smart Doll together.
