Valentines Day in Japan

Got some hand made chocolate cookies from Satomi-san yesterday at Tokyo CGM Night - but not just any cookie - t'was an iPhone one!
On Valentines day in Japan, women are the ones who traditionally give chocolate and in many cases they are home made.
The new report below shows that 74% of the chocolate that women are giving is to...other women. The average amount being spent on chocolate being 3477 yen.
In the later half of the report you will see that a department store is encouraging women not to give chocolate for Valentines Day but pantsu.
Its then the men's turn to buy the women chocolate on White Day which is next month on the 14th of March.
The candy association decided to push this annual event to promote the sales of candy. White Day is named after the main ingredient used in candy - white sugar.
This iPhone cookie is so nice that I'm having difficulty in bringing myself to eat it ^^;
Have you been giving or receiving chocolate from anybody this year? Or did you end up giving chocolate to yourself?
Some more heart shaped chocolates given to me by Amano Ai-chan at CGM Night too ^^;
