Ueno in the Winter

The Japan in the Winter theme continues and today its Ueno. Here we have a lot of Japanese tradition to be found - many shrines dotted around the area, the Ameyoko market, zoo, park and small streets of Ueno are a joy to explore - following bunch of photos taken before Christmas.
To get to Ueno, get off at Ueno station on the JR Yamanote line.
In a "Tatakiuri" which means limited-time sale, you can find all kinds of sweet at a very low price.
Interesting food sample with mechanized chopsticks going up and down.
Kewpie with tatoo...
Onsen facility situated in the well known novelist Ogai Mori's house.
