Ikkyu-san is just awesome. He works with very little direction and always comes up with fantastic work. I asked for a car (kuruma) and he came up with this - our Mirai Itasha!

く (ku) for "kuruma"

Following on from the previous hiragana in this Moekana series which was き, today we learn "く" (ku) which is pronounced as an abrupt "ku". Today's word is "くるま” (pronounced "kuruma") which means "car".
The katakana equivalent of "く" is "ク".
Today's models are Mirai Suenaga and Haruka Suenaga illustrated by Ikkyu-san.

Example

You can use this in a sentence like:-
Ore no kuruma wo sawareba kettobashite yaru
俺のくるまを触れば、蹴っ飛ばしてやる
Touch my car and I shall send you flying with a kick

Exercise

Write out "く” 50 times on the closest national monument with a can of spray and say "く” 20 times while dragging the nearest police office to see your work at the monument.
Any other word that begins with "く" that's otaku or Japan related that you can think of?
All Hiragana in the Moekana series will be tagged "hiragana"
And here is the 3D version - more photos in the Mirai Itasha post.
