This morning, the annular solar eclipse was visible from Japan and millions took to the streets to glare up at the "ring of fire" - called Kinkan Nisshoku ]。
I only had my Sony NEX 5N with no zoom lens so these were the best I could do >< I should have taken photos of the folks in the streets looking up instead - I'll remember to do it next time which is in about 300 years time.

To take these photos, I dropped the shutter speed to 1/4000 and used the digital zoom.
Kyubeys eyes have gone all red from looking at the sun.
