Anime Expo 2014 took place a few weeks ago in Los Angeles at LACC which was attended by over 80,000 anime/Japan fans from all over the world.
For the past few years I've been helping out as staff and while I don't get to spend much time in the exhibition hall or watch panels, I do get to spend time with the most awesome volunteers who bring you AX - and the guests that they bring in.

If you have not volunteered to help out as staff at AX before - maybe contact AX to see if you can help out next year instead - the experience is priceless. I actually know one particular guy who volunteered as staff at AX and went on to work for Good Smile Company through looking after their guests one year.
