Yeah. Intel Core 2 Duo is still the best price/performance CPU out now. And most programs anyway don't use than one cpu core, except programs used in the industrial & digital media publishing & 3d-simulation/animation fields. Intel i7 is still a fresh release, and its performance is top-notch, no doubt. Its price is still a little too high to most general consumers, so Core 2 Duo suits the bill for most people. Nah, i dont think that would happen. ^^; you have the option of customising the machine if one buys direct from the supplier, so a PC-DIY otaku like me need not worry. Apple ? they might cook up something that can match this, so from then on, it only comes down to the best price/performance for the money, good software & support. ( View formatted comment » )

iMacs are good, standardized machines. Works everytime, all the time. but can be boring in the long run, but that depends on how you want to use the iMac for. ^^; IBM made good desktops back in the day, and Lenovo carries on IBMs tradition of exellence & performance. Even HP is also making machines similar to this one. so yeah, i very much agree. ( View formatted comment » )

Better believe it, though take it with a grain of salt, though. It all depends on how you customise the desktop to your needs though. ( View formatted comment » )

Not quite... If this gets released with Windows 7, then Apple might start to think otherwise. Why worry, when Apple is doing well on their iMac & their music products ? ^^; Wonder if there are hardware tests about the iMac ? How does the machine compare against a close competitor, say Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu Computers or Sony ? ( View formatted comment » )

Now, now... one needs not to be very picky about things. The same thing can be said to the same modern electrical things & gadgets with white finish, though it wont be very visible, but given time, it will be just as ugly. ( View formatted comment » )

All i can say is.... Nintendo Company Ltd literally PWNES the market. The Xbox360 & PlayStation 3 COMBINED couldnt even match them either in game software lineup & innovation. And thats the way it should be. Feels good to be a PC-f4nb0i ! X'D. Well, better luck next time, Xbox360 & PlayStation III. Ill be posting an interesting newspost soon... ( View formatted comment » )

My fave games for this year would have to be... 1.Prince of Persia (PC) 2.Far Cry II (PC) 3.Race Driver GRiD (PC) 4.Call of Duty World at War (PC) 5.Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)(Dark Horse) Well, that sums up my gaming for 2008. Now i have to wait until they drop in price, then get them when they are ripe for purchase. X'D ( View formatted comment » )

DRM stands for Digital Rights Management. Its a form of access control technologies used by hardware manufacturers, copyright holders and media-developers to limit access and use of peoples digital media, like music DVDs, Cds, Blu-Ray Discs and such. SecuROM and StarForce are a couple of such DRM examples. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management: This article explains DRM in detail. ( View formatted comment » )

Er, a minor mistake on my part. Back in the 80's, PCs as a gaming console was expensive and popular among a small fringe group of people. The games they played were mostly text-based adventure games. In time, improving tech and programming skills among developers created innovations from sound, graphics, narrative and design. From the late half of the 90's up until now, the PC is still the king of graphics, design and innovation, but the current generation of consoles is now rivaling the PC. For... One does not have to buy the latest hardware to get the best graphics & performance. People do research on hardware and build the PC within their budget, while still delivering better than average performance in games. Its how you tweak the performance of the hardware of the PC that counts. PC games are NOT LIMITED to Rts, Fps, and MMO games... RPGS and racing games do exist for the PC. The Witcher, Baldurs Gate & Neverwinter Nights are prime examples of very good RPG games for PC. Racedriver GRiD is a Grade-A racing ... ( View formatted comment » )

To say that the PC gaming market drying up to near zero in the coming years is nothing more but BS and blatant lies by the console fanboys. Sure, the PC gaming front is struggling a lot in many aspects, but when it comes to developing new features, tech and graphics in upcoming games, it is ALWAYS the PC that gets to test it out before the console verssions get released. The PC has the tools, the consoles get the end product. Plus, PC maniacs get to learn how to create new content on their own, the hard way. People who worked... ( View formatted comment » )

Since we can't kill piracy entirely, the best solution is give the buyers great content with little to no DRM, and better schemes of product activation and anti-cheat methods. Too many idiots and money-grubbing executives plaguing the industry, squeezing their loyal customers for more money, and implementing DRM-schemes which works both ways in a very bad way. The industry leaders must do their part, but it is up to us consumers to make the industry thrive. As the tech improves, so too must consumers as well. ... ( View formatted comment » )

whats freaky with this is that dutch-wife manufacturers will capitalise on this idea and buy the tech to sell it in love-doll brothels in the seedier alleyways of Tokyo city... The creator will earn a §H1t3-!_04D of $, £, & untold amounts of money for this.. ^^; ( View formatted comment » )
